A five-star competition is on the program in Basel this weekend. The opening section (1.40) was immediately won by a BWP-horse. This was Gertje vh Scheefkasteel, ridden by Werner Muff. The horse descends from Moujik The Sohan X Laurin Holstein and was bred by Johan Hubrechts.
Belgian rider Gregory Wathelet later in the day drove to victory in a 1:55 with Conrad de Hus (v. Con Air). This duo was followed by Kevin Staut in fourth place with Estoy Aqui de Muze (Malito De Reves X Kashmir From Schuttershof, breeder Van Mele - De Brabander).
